At 4PM Crews will perform on \u201cRisk!\u201d, a<br \/>\nstorytelling show hosted by Kevin Allison. Afterward, she will sign and<br \/>\nsell copies of her memoir from 5:30 \u2013 5:45 PM at the SXSW Bookstore<br \/>\noutside of Ballroom G.<\/p>\n<p>Burn Down the Ground is Crews\u2019 powerful, affecting, and unflinching<br \/>\nmemoir about her unconventional childhood living with deaf parents in a<br \/>\ntin shed in rural Texas (Crews is not deaf), and her attempts to<br \/>\nreconcile that harrowing childhood to her present life\u2014one in which her<br \/>\nfather is serving a twenty-year sentence in a maximum-security prison<br \/>\nfor attempted murder.<\/p>\n<p>Crews now runs her own PR and production company in New York City.
