Social Network for LGBT Deaf People is Bridging Oceans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deaf LGBT people, confronting common communication barriers, once found themselves geographically and socially isolated from the broader community. Frankly, it is hard to make new friends when most people at social events don\u2019t understand sign language. As with others, the development of niche social networks on the Internet has removed many of the obstacles of building friendships within and among this previously isolated population.<\/p>\n

FriskyHands.com – a community specifically constructed for LGBT Deaf members in the English speaking world (e.g., U.S., U.K., Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada) – is proving to be a source of new friendships and emotional support for people who confront the daily ups and downs of being Deaf.<\/p>\n
