**ASL Interpreters will be provided**<\/p>\n

The Houston Police Department will observe National Police Week beginning Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18, 2012. The Police will welcome the deaf community on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 with American Sign Language Interpreters to aid in communication. The purpose of this observance is to increase the public\u2019s awareness of the role of police officers and to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives so that we can live in safety and peace.<\/p>\n
