“Your Road Trip – Destination Employment,” An Online Course for
\nNon-College Bound Adults who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing<\/p>\n

Project Endeavor was created when in July of 2010 the National
\nTelecommunications and Information Administration announced
\nCommunications Services for the Deaf (CSD) was awarded a multi-million
\ndollar grant to make discounted high-speed Internet\/broadband
\naccessible to the nation’s deaf and hard of hearing population.<\/p>\n

This online course targets non-college bound deaf and hard of hearing
\nadults, who are either looking for their first job or thinking about
\nchanging their current employment situation. The interactive, Web 2.0
\ncourse focuses on three main components of a career search:<\/p>\n

* Getting Started (helps the consumer decide if they are ready to work
\nand how working will affect income;)
\n* Working at Getting a Job (how to conduct a job search, complete job
\napplications, write a resume, dress for an interview and interview
\ntips, and your communication needs;) and
\n* Success on the Job (what to do on your first day on the job and how
\nto problem solve.)<\/p>\n

* The unique aspect of the training resource is that each quiz and
\nmodule is accompanied with an ASL video, meaning students can access
\n100 percent of the information in ASL instead of having to read text,
\nwhich is how nearly all online training resources are developed. You
