POSITION: PROVOST #11-308<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Master\u2019s degree required.
\nDoctorate preferred with additional hours recognized. 10 years related
\nexperience required. Administrative experience including community
\nrelations, program development, budgeting, and E Learning. Strong
\ninterpersonal skills and understanding of the SWCID community. Must
\nhave the desire to explore and acquire new knowledge to further the
\nneeds of the campus. Proficiency in American Sign Language and
\ncomprehensive understanding of Deaf culture and education. Demonstrated
\nability to provide creative leadership and a commitment to the
\nprinciples of Continuous Quality Improvement.<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: The Provost of SWCID is responsible for the
\noperation of SWCID under the guidance of the District President. The
\nProvost of SWCID will provide leadership for the campus and supervise
\ncampus compliance with all HCJCD policies and procedures; interface
\nwith deaf education and community leaders to promote the SWCID
\ncommunity; serve as a member of the Administrative Cabinet and other
\ninternal and external councils and committees as well as the SWCID
\nFoundation. The Provost is the lead administrator on issues related to
\nSWCID and Deaf culture and education, also serving as a resource for
\ndisability questions in the district.<\/p>\n

\neLearning preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills and
\nunderstanding of the SWCID community and the desire to explore and

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: The Executive Dean- SWCID provides
\nleadership for the instructional and support services of the SWCID
