Today is an exciting day for Houston Bass Club of the Deaf! (HBCD) We
\nwill be hosting for the first time our 1st Annual Junior Anglers
\nTournament which will take place at Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy,
\nTexas. (see our website www.hbcd1968.org) The date will be July 14,
\n2012 from 9am to 4pm. This will be an annual event sponsored by many of
\nour valuable contributors. The event is FREE to all kid participants.
\nThe purpose of this event is to promote an opportunity to the deaf\/Hard
\nof Hearing \/deaf-blind kids in our community area where the main focus
\nis entirely on them to enjoy fun day of fishing. It is important to
\neducate them the fundamentals knowledge of how to fish.<\/p>\n

The skills can be taught by own HBCD Bass Anglers, their parents, or
\nguardians. It is a \u201ctournament\u201d in which they can gather a lot of fish
\nwhere they can weigh in the most and be awarded prizes. HBCD will be
\nproviding 3 age catagories of 2-5\/ 6-13 \/ 14-17 years old. Awards will
\nbe given as 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each of these age categories.
\nLunch will be served as well. Important of all is for them to have FUN!
\nHBCD believes the kids are of importance to enjoy and instill them in
\nthe love of becoming an expert in the fishing abilities in which they
\ncan one day be involved in future tournaments.<\/p>\n

\nPrint out the forms, maps and etc. So come out kids and join in the
\nfun time. In the event of a severe thunderstorm that occurs, it will be
\nrescheduled for next year due to the park booked up. Please check the
