An estimated 1500 Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, Deaf\/Blind and Hearing
\nindividuals from 12 states will attend a special three-day convention
\nbeginning on Friday, July 27 in Denton, Texas. This convention is one
\nof seven conventions hosted this summer by Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses
\npresented entirely in American Sign Language.<\/p>\n

Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses feel that all, including non-Witnesses, will
\nbenefit from the positive message and practical suggestions that will
\nbe highlighted at the 2012 \u201cSafeguard Your Heart!\u201d District Convention
\nto be held at the Denton, Texas Assembly Hall of Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses.<\/p>\n

The Witnesses\u2019 convention program promises a fresh examination of
\nBiblical references to the figurative heart. Through lively discourses,
\ndramatic Bible stories and presentations, and even a movie drama,
\nprogram parts will emphasize how protecting the figurative heart will
\nenhance one\u2019s spiritual well-being, family life, and happiness.<\/p>\n

Starting this weekend, and continuing for the next couple of weeks,
\nJehovah\u2019s Witnesses will put forth extra effort to extend a personal
\ninvitation to all deaf, deaf\/blind, and hard of hearing from 12
\nsurrounding states to attend the convention with them. The three-day
\nevent to be held in Denton, Texas will begin Friday, July 27, at 9:20
\na.m. The daily themes and titles of program parts are based on passages
\nof Scripture, including 1 Samuel 16:7, 1 Chronicles 28:9, and Matthew
\n12:34. The convention theme \u201cSafeguard Your Heart!\u201d is based on
\nProverbs 4:23. Strengthening one\u2019s spirituality will be the focus of
\nthe program.<\/p>\n

There is no admission fee. Conventions of Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses are
\nsupported entirely by voluntary donations.<\/p>\n

Locally, all of the area\u2019s 32 sign language congregations of Jehovah\u2019s
\nWitnesses will be supporting the activity of distributing invitations
\nto the convention. A video message of the invitation in Sign Language
\nis available at http:\/\/www.jw.org. An estimated 1,500 will come to
\nDenton, Texas over the weekend for the Bible-based programs.<\/p>\n

Throughout the United States, there will be 385 conventions in 103
\ncities. Worldwide, there are over 7,600,000 Witnesses in more than
\n109,000 congregations.<\/p>\n
