Psychosocial Adjustment, Communication, and Community Integration: Issues and Solutions<\/p>\n
Co-Sponsors: Mississippi State University, Helen Keller National Center and San Diego State University<\/p>\n
This 2\u00bd day conference offers a national forum in which participants can share their knowledge and diverse experiences related to psycho-social adjustment to aging with dual sensory loss. Sessions are designed to attract seniors with dual sensory loss, caregivers, health and social service professionals, SSPs, researchers and policy makers from across the country. We regret that we are not able to offer stipends or honoraria to presenters. However the Registration Fee will be waived for presenters.<\/p>\n
Presentation Format: Presentations should be designed for Breakout Sessions (i.e., 60 minute traditional presentations designed to address a specific topic).<\/p>\n

\nfunding strategies for assistive devices and technology <\/p>\n
Community Integration<\/p>\n
\u00a7 The functional impact of dual sensory loss on activities of
\ndaily living, community participation, and mobility and transportation<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Future trends and expectations for improving community
\nintegration <\/p>\n
