Sessions are designed to attract seniors with dual sensory loss, caregivers, health and social service professionals, SSPs, researchers and policy makers from across the country. We regret that we are not able to offer stipends or honoraria to presenters. However the Registration Fee will be waived for presenters.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation Format: Presentations should be designed for Breakout Sessions (i.e., 60 minute traditional presentations designed to address a specific topic).<\/p>\n<p>Session Tracks &#038; Sample Paper Topics:<\/p>\n<p>Psychosocial Adjustment<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 Adapting Strategies: Activating personal, social and spiritual<br \/>\nresources<\/p>\n<p>Communication<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 Personal, situational and environmental triggers for<br \/>\ncommunication breakdowns and compensation and avoidance strategies<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues and alternative<br \/>\nfunding strategies for assistive devices and technology <\/p>\n<p>Community Integration<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 The functional impact of dual sensory loss on activities of<br \/>\ndaily living, community participation, and mobility and transportation<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7 Future trends and expectations for improving community<br \/>\nintegration <\/p>\n<p>Deadline for Submissions: June 18, 2007<\/p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines<\/p>\n<p>Please provide the following information for each presenter:<br \/>\nName<br \/>\nTitle<br \/>\nOrganization\/Affiliation<br \/>\nPhone<br \/>\nEmail<br \/>\nBiographical Sketch (Describe, in 50 words or less, your qualifications to present on the topic.)
