Location – Multiple Locations
\nHours – Days and Evenings
\nSalary – Salary is assigned according to the Adjunct Faculty Salary
\nScale
\nFLSA Status – Exempt<\/p>\n

Other
\nPre-Employment Criminal Background Checks are required for all Staff
\nand Faculty positions.<\/p>\n

Job Purpose
\nTo instruct students in American Sign Language courses in accordance
\nwith College policies and procedures.<\/p>\n

Education Qualifications
\nRequired
\nMaster’s degree or above in ASL, Deaf Studies or Deaf Education; or
\nMaster’s degree with 18 graduate hours in coursework related to ASL,
\nDeaf Studies, ASL Linguistics or language teaching methodologies.<\/p>\n

Preferred
\nMaster’s degree or PhD in American Sign Language.
\nWork Experience Preferred
\nExperience teaching at a community college or university.<\/p>\n
