Citizen Input Survey on Issues related to Texans with Disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you haven’t taken the Citizen Input Survey, we would like to hear
\nfrom YOU about what is important for disability policy. If you have
\ntaken our survey, please forward to others in the disability community

Citizen Input Survey on Issues related to Texans with Disabilities<\/p>\n

One of the important functions that the Texas Governor\u2019s Committee on
\nPeople with Disabilities is charged to do in its enabling law is to
\nmake recommendations to the Governor and Legislature every two years on
\nissues related to Texans with disabilities. The Committee structures
\nits work into ten broad issue areas. They are Access, Communication,
\nEducation, Emergency Management, Health, Housing, Recreation and the
\nArts, Transportation, Veterans and Workforce.<\/p>\n

The Committee wants to hear from its citizens with disabilities, family
\nmembers, caregivers and professionals in the field of disability
\nissues. We want to know what YOU think are the major needs and issues
\nfacing Texans with disabilities. Your feedback is needed and
\nwelcomed.<\/p>\n

If you have any data that you want to include with your comments that
\nhelps bolster your feedback, please do include it or a link to it with
\nyour comments. The survey will be available until September 30, 2012.
\n The information will then be consolidated and considered as the
\nCommittee drafts its policy recommendations for the 83rd Legislative
\nSession which will begin in January 2013.<\/p>\n
