This fundraising event\u2019s goal is to donate a new refrigerator
\nand possibly a new stove for the kitchen at Lubbock Community Services
\nfor the Deaf. Please help LCSD to remodel the kitchen.<\/p>\n
Sean Forbes is a musician on a mission. An accomplished and
\npassionate drummer, rhythm pours out of him, when he breathes, walks,
\ntypes at his keyboard or hits his drums. Music is in his blood, his
\ncells; it\u2019s just the way he is. He\u2019s also deaf \u2013 and out to build a
\nbadly needed bridge between the music industry and deaf people
\neverywhere.<\/p>\n
With his passion for music, Sean has opened the door to
\nmusical expression \u2013 a world historically considered off limits to
\npeople in the deaf community. His dream of music for all has helped to
\ntransform the way deaf people perceive music. Through his videos and
\nhis outreach to deaf people everywhere \u2013 particularly young people
\neager to feel included in popular culture \u2013 music is being presented to
\nthem as a beautiful symphony of thought and expression, available to
\nall. The hearing community, too, is fascinated by his ASL translations
\nof musical hits and is clamoring for more.<\/p>\n
Sean Forbes is living proof that if you have enough passion
\nand dedication, magic happens and dreams come true.<\/p>\n
