I will need to talk to all the deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people to decide if they want one ( 1 ) tax exempt in Texas or Oklahoma or in both states. We will have to discuss about the tax exempt. I also have not had a chance to find the place where we can have the meetings yet. Maybe in Paris, Texas or Hugo, Oklahoma or Colbert, Oklahoma or Gainsville, Texas. I would appreciate any suggestion you have to decide where to hold our first meeting. If we are going to have the tax exempt, in Texas for the name “Red River for the Deaf”, we must pay a fee to Austin, Texas.

I am not sure yet about Oklahoma. I have to find out how much it will cost in Oklahoma. I would like your opinion for ” Red River for the Deaf “, should it be a ” non – profit ” organization or should we consider it a ” profit ” organization? There is a lot to be discussed.

I need to ask all the people if they want to set up a new name for the deaf club in order to be successful. We also need to discuss how we can raise and get money or funds for the future.

I have agreed with one person who talked to me about the deaf club, if we are to have it in the future. I believe that we need to have a deaf club that everyone can enjoy including children. We don’t want to involve liquior or alcohol beverages, due to the fact that it can cause problems or trouble and headaches. I would like to see the children be involved with their parents and to have a good time. I don’t want to see the children to be left out.

Next step is, of course I need new officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. If there is a large number of people then we will need 4 to 6 board of directors. But if there is a small number of people, then we will need to have just 4 officers and 2 or 3 board of directors, until the number of people start growing. I need a person who knows how to use computer expertise to help me set up a web site on the computer for the internet and also to help set up the flyers and information.

The reason why I would like to have the deaf club is so that everyone can enjoy and have fun and get together and meet every month. For example: We will fun activities in Texas this month then next month it will be in Oklahoma, I would like to share that in both states and take turns.

We also have to set up new by-laws and rules, to protect the deaf club. If we don’t have by-laws, then it would cause problems and trouble within the deaf club, which is why we need to follow the rules with the by-laws. I don’t want to see the deaf club get screwed up ( messed up ). Once the by-laws have been established, we need to follow them step by step.

If you have any information, suggestion, ideas or anything. I would like to hear from you.
