TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF vs. CALIFORNIA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF-FREMONT<\/p>\n

KICK-OFF 7:00pm FRIDAY AUGUST 31<\/p>\n

Austin, Texas \u2013 August 31, 2012 Today, the Texas School for the Deaf
\n(TSD) Rangers face off against the Eagles from California School for
\nthe Deaf-Fremont (CSD-F). Kickoff is at 7:00 pm at TSD\u2019s Gamblin Field
\n\u2013 1102 South Congress Avenue.<\/p>\n

Though you will not have the half-time marching bands, if you have not
\nseen the TSD Rangers in action, this is a unique opportunity to see two
\nteams \u2013 consisting of players and coaches who are all deaf or hard of
\nhearing \u2013 compete against each other. It\u2019s no surprise that tonight\u2019s
\ngame is creating quite a buzz.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis game is one of the several important games for us this season,
\nsays TSD\u2019s Head Coach, Kelvin Etkie.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to have CSD-F come out at the start of the season,
\nadds Etkie. Our hats are off to CSD-F for making this happen. We
\ncertainly know how hard it is to travel out of state the first week of
\nschool. We will return the favor next year and visit there to play on
\ntheir home turf in 2014.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are truly thrilled about this authentic \u2018Friday Night Lights\u2019 game
\n– Texas style, adds CSD-F Head Coach, Warren Keller. If the
\nanticipation among Deaf schools across the country is any indication,
\nwe\u2019ll see some real excitement, on and off the field.\u201d<\/p>\n
