( See the flyer attached).<\/p>\n<p>WHO may be eligible?<\/p>\n<p>* Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and live in the City of\u00a0Houston or Greater Houston Metropolitan area<\/p>\n<p>* Require the use of visual fire alarm because of a substantial hearing\u00a0loss may qualify for free visual fire alarms.<\/p>\n<p>Note: There are no income requirements<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WHAT will qualified applicants receive?<\/p>\n<p>* Qualified applicants will receive free, visual fire alarms that are\u00a0portable (can be moved or used while traveling).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WHEN will qualified applicants receive the alarms?<\/p>\n<p>* HFD will begin installing free visual fire alarms in the homes of\u00a0qualified individuals on September 1, 2012<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WHERE can citizens receive more information?<\/p>\n<p>* Contact the Mayor\u2019s Office for People with Disabilities at<\/p>\n<p>Phone:\u00a0281.936.0770 or 713.284.1990. Two meetings will be held at the\u00a0Metropolitan Multi-Service Center at 1475 W. Gray to assist citizens\u00a0with completing the form.
