This popular celebrity-interview talk show won seven Emmy Awards during its original run in Los Angeles from 1981 through 1989, when it produced 385 episodes. This all-new incarnation of the program lives up to its reputation as one of the most hip, thought-provoking, humorous and unique programs on television. The half-hour program, which was shot on location in Carson City, Virginia City, and Reno, Nevada, features country singer Lacy J. Dalton; children’s mystery author Calamity Jan Pierson; and Kenny C. Guinn, former Governor of Nevada. It made its on-air debut on PBS in 2006.<\/p>\n
Host Herb Larson is known throughout the country as “The Deaf Johnny Carson.” Joining him as co-host and sign language interpreter is actor Bill Pugin, who co-starred with Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin in the NBC series, REASONABLE DOUBTS, and has appeared in dozens of TV shows, motion pictures and stage productions.<\/p>\n
