His deafness was never an impediment to his joy for life and accomplishments. With his fine bride Lottie by his side he always worked hard and accomplished much.

Francis was a life long member of the deaf community of Dallas and Texas. He served in many capacities in the deaf organizations in Dallas and as a young man took great joy in the athletic competitions between the deaf communities. He maintained an amazing physical strength and stamina to the very end. He worked for 37 years with the Dallas News and greatly enjoyed his retirement.

Lottie, his life long wife and partner survives and continues her years in Sulphur Springs Texas. Two sons survive, Coy Sevier and wife Joyce of New Boston and Sam Sevier and wife Sherri of Sulphur Springs. Six grandchildren and an ever growing number of great grandchildren will treasure the memories of Papaw.

The family gratefully acknowledges all who loved and enjoyed our Dad.

Service Information

Funeral Service
Friday, October 05, 2012
2:00pm – 3:00pm

Grove Hill Funeral Home
3920 Samuell Blvd
Dallas, TX 75228-6734
(214) 381-7118

Visitation
Thursday, October 04, 2012
11:00am – 9:00pm

Grove Hill Funeral Home
3920 Samuell Blvd
Dallas, TX 75228
(214) 388-8887

SOURCE: (guestbook and picture)

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dallasmorningnews/obituary.aspx?n=francis-sevier&pid=160259866

In Memory of FRANCIS COY SEVIER Sr. Children’s children are a crown to the aged, And parents are the pride of their children Prov 17:6 Francis Sevier was a man whose smile was literally contagious and affected all those who…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[2
35,19,15257,24,15259,15258,504,10679,502,15260,17
post-20169","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-deaf-news","tag-community","tag-dallas-dfw","tag-dallas-news","tag-deaf","tag-francis-coy-sevier-sr","tag-francis-sevier","tag-funeral","tag-grove-hill-funeral-home","tag-obituary","tag-sulphur-springs","tag-texas
LOTTIE LEE SEVIER February 5, 1917 - September 18, 2013 Lottie Lee (Hinton) Sevier completed her long and well lived life journey on September 18, 2013 when her tired and well used body finally had enough.
