\u201cIs it me, or is it HOT in here? \u201c<\/p>\n

This workshop examines some of the realities of simultaneous translation. Attendees will identify and practice techniques designed to make the \u201chot seat\u201d more personally rewarding and successful. With a focus on better service to consumers, interpreters will explore a common sense approach to the cultural, linguistic, and situational incidents that fan the flames under our interpreting chairs. Hands-on activities will enhance awareness, develop composure, and the build stamina needed for \u201chot seat\u201d survival.<\/p>\n
