Knowbility is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of its Accessibility Internet Rally with a new twist. For the first time not only will teams be competing to build accessible, standards compliant web sites for local non-profits, but local winners will also go on to compete in a statewide \u201cshootout\u201d to see who has built the most accessible web sites in Texas! Come join teams from Austin, Houston and San Antonio as Knowbility crowns the Champions of Accessibility. <\/p>\n
In the past 10 years hundreds of design and development teams around the United States have participated in this fun and energetic one day competition, resulting in sites that make information available on PCs, PDAs, and other non-traditional browsing devices (e.g screen readers) regardless of the ability of the user.<\/p>\n

With changes in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) the Knowbility training staff has gone back to the drawing board to bring you a new slate of training options as you prepare to compete in the AIR competitions this year. Besides the opportunity to network with peers from your community and around the state you will also learn:<\/p>\n
1. Newly released global accessibility standards- WCAG 2.0 <\/p>\n
2. How to create sites that are standards based, accessible \u2013 and beautiful <\/p>\n
3. Tools and techniques for testing the accessibility of a web site <\/p>\n
4. Advanced JavaScript and CSS layout techniques <\/p>\n
5. How to use the Knowbility judging form to prepare for the competition <\/p>\n
6. How to prepare audio and video files to meet the accessibility requirements <\/p>\n
7. Tips on integrating accessibility planning into your process <\/p>\n
