We dig as deeply as we can into the possibilities that puppetry offers, in its many forms and styles, and seek to balance risk and exploration with a drive for excellent craft and technique. Our work is inspired not only by our artistic passion but by our social, political, and human convictions: that there can be no end to the struggle for knowledge and compassion, against injustice and intolerance. Trouble Puppet is a sponsored project of Salvage Vanguard Theater and is supported by The Jim Henson Foundation, the City of Austin, and individual donors. Toil and Trouble is underwritten by Joel and Dina Sherzer, Roger Thomas, James and Sharon Reck, AustinLiveTheater.com, and Geoff Kruml and is mounted with the generous support of The Creative Fund.

Salvage Vanguard Theater is a hub for Austin artists, audiences, and arts organizations. SVT creates and presents transformative, high-quality artistic experiences that foster experimentation and conversation.

CONTACT PERSON NAME: Kathryn Rogers
CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS: kathryn@troublepuppet.com
CONTACT TELEPHONE #: 512-573-2540

ASL-interpreted show: Toil and Trouble DATE: 11/4 and others TBA TIME: 6 pm on 11/4 ADDRESS: 2803 E Manor Rd Austin, Texas WEBSITE: http://www.troublepuppet.com Hello to our friends who are deaf and hearing-impaired: Trouble Puppet Theater Company is excited to…

Read more →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[2
1629,23,15373,8283,2987,15740,1323,15742,8287,15007,15739,6271,8265,15743,15741,15005,15004,8281
post-20553","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-deaf-news","tag-american-sign-language","tag-asl","tag-austin-tx","tag-b-iden-payne-awards","tag-city-of-austin","tag-dia-de-los-muertos","tag-interpreted-show","tag-jim-henson-foundation","tag-kathryn-rogers","tag-macbeth","tag-november-4","tag-salvage-vanguard-theater","tag-shakespeare","tag-svt","tag-the-austin-examiner","tag-the-creative-fund","tag-toil-and-trouble","tag-trouble-puppet-theater-company
https://deafnetwork.com/wordpress/blog/2012/09/07/asl-interpreted-show-double-double-toil-and-trouble-austin/
Dear Austin-area educators and members of the deaf community: Trouble Puppet Theater Company is excited to present Toil and Trouble, our original adaptation of Macbeth, and we want to let you know that we welcome groups, especially student groups, and that we can offer ASL-interpreted performances to our deaf community.…
https://deafnetwork.com/wordpress/blog/2013/05/06/asl-interpreted-show-trouble-puppets-cruel-circus-austin/
    ASL-interpreted show: Trouble Puppet's Cruel Circus Trouble Puppet Theater Co. is offering two ASL-interpreted performances of our upcoming show, The Cruel Circus, May 16th and May 23rd.
