PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH STUDY <\/p>\n

I am conducting a study on how the brain changes during periods of
\ndeafness and how this may effect speech perception with a cochlear
\nimplant. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 65 who have severe to
\nprofound deafness and have had a cochlear implant for a minimum of six
\nmonths are needed to participate. Study procedures include a hearing
\ntest, speech perception tests (repeating sentences and words) and
\nrecording of brainwaves in response to visual stimuli. The time
\nrequired to participate in the study is 2-3 hours. <\/p>\n

The research is taking place at the UTD Callier Center in Dallas. I
\nam compensating participants $10 an hour in appreciation of their
\ntime and effort. If you are interested in participating or have
