Here is what Terold Gallien had to say about it:

“I am a deaf guy and instructor for the Sign Language and Deaf Education. I went to see the ballet, AMAHL, and was heartened to see how effectively that hearing casts used their sign language skills in relating the story. I was shocked, amazed, inspired and appreciative of their sign language communication skills. It made me thrilled and impressed also. I enjoyed watching it because of the signing…and I am proud how of effortlessly it was performed. This show is very significant for the Deaf Community in Houston Metropolitan area, as it could lead to a wonderful involvement with other regional deaf school programs as well as to recognition by Deaf Educators in our community.”

This show is a great group outing and family friendly event that honors the holiday season, and its truest meaning. The story is that of a widow and her disabled child, who are visited by the three wise men. It’s a heartwarming opera sung in English, that was made for television in the 1950’s–a wonderful introduction to opera and ballet, for all generations…and it’s only an hour long!

Please consider bringing your friends and families, AS TICKETS FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY AND ANY THAT ACCOMPANY THEM ARE HALF PRICE ($9!) as general admission is $18.
