Movie: Christmas Angel<\/p>\n

Every year before Christmas break, the students in Olivia’s class present “My Impossible Christmas Wish.” But this year, something unusual is happening ? the wishes are coming true. Olivia is soon convinced the answers are linked to a mysterious woman named Elsie who Olivia believes is an angel. But Elsie is not what she appears, and she has plenty of secrets of her own to keep. Their unlikely friendship teaches them that anyone can be an “angel” to someone in need. (info from http:\/\/www.lifeway.com)<\/p>\n

Dove Worldview:
\nThis is a rare movie in that it delivers in every way! The acting, the story, the humor and the rest of it makes for one awesome movie experience. Remember the name Izabela Vidovic. This talented young actress who plays young Olivia Mead in the story is terrific and I believe you will be seeing a lot more of her in the future.<\/p>\n

The premise is that an old house is next to Olivia’s home and one evening before Christmas she shares a legend about throwing stones through an old house’s windows and breaking them. Legend says that this can bring wishes to pass. A friend of Olivia’s, young Lucas, throws one through a window right away. When their friend gets the bike he longed for at Christmas, they believe. Soon other kids are throwing stones through the windows until the owner, a Dr. Nathan Davis, shows up. A mystery surrounds the house and a blue glowing light seen in the window at night time. Soon Olivia’s single mom, Melinda, meets Dr. Davis and we slowly begin to learn why he owns the house and exactly what the blue light means.<\/p>\n

The story features a wonderful plot-line regarding a former Jazz and Gospel artist named Elsie Waybright (Della Reese) who lives in the house and we soon learn why she is estranged from her daughter, Malia. Elsie and Olivia become friends and sort through the various requests which are now placed in an “Angel wish box” in front of the house. Elsie labels one pile the “stupid” pile for requests like the one from a student who wishes for a teacher who would not assign homework!<\/p>\n

The movie focuses on what is really important in life (serving other people and taking time for your family) and we can’t think of a better movie to award our Dove Seal to than this one.
