Volunteer Needed <\/p>\n
The volunteer provides Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS)
\nsupport services. The volunteer serves as a support to the clients by
\nassisting DHHS staff and the Coordinator with three programs\u0014English
\nLiteracy, Job Placement and Computer Literacy. Our program goal is to
\nprovide the training for clients for employment. <\/p>\n
The volunteer may assist with preparing intake forms, follow-up phone
\ncalls, office duties, job placement or to monitor clients. Flexible
\nhours. A minimum 2 to 4 hours per month. No experience necessary.
\nTraining is provided. A volunteer need to have qualities of
\ncompassionate and mature individual, supportive of the DHHS concept. <\/p>\n
We need volunteers who are free at these times: <\/p>\n
Monthly, weekly or one-time basis <\/p>\n
This volunteer opportunity is available to the following types of
\nvolunteers: <\/p>\n
Minimum Age Requirement: 25 years old or older with only exception
\nfor those who are interpreter interns, and students who are majoring
\nin Deaf Education. <\/p>\n
