The weather started to get HOT (over 100 degrees) but less rain. The
\nwater level started to lower back to normal. Most docks are open now
\nfor boats. We have seen many frogs all over the place this year. Hope
\neveryone kept cool in the shade or in the pool or stayed inside the
\nhouse. School already started now. Hope the parents were prepared for
\nthe kids to get supplies, clothes and a sleep schedule before school
\nstarted. Hope everyone enjoyed the summer. <\/p>\n
We are very excited to announce that we finally finished our website
\non August 10th. Our website is now open – surf at
\nhttp:\/\/www.texomadeafclub.org
\n . We also have a new email address at Info@texomadeafclub.org
\n . We will continue to use our email address at
\ntexomadeafclub@gmail.com
\n for a while until everyone learns the new address. Hope you enjoy
\nsurfing our website. Our History in the website menu is still under
\nconstruction. Please be sure to check our TCD website periodically!
\nWe would appreciate it if you would please send us any comments about
\nour website. After one week, we had almost 500 visitors on our
\nwebsite. We received few comments by emails to tell us how wonderful
\nwebsite is designed. It is very hard to believe that people surfed
\nour website so often already. We really worked very hard to make our
\nwebsite better and improved. <\/p>\n
Our Social Night Wanted: Dead or Alive party was very successful and
\neveryone had a great time. Children seemed to enjoy playing games
\nsuch as the donkey, tic tac toe, gold coin treasure, and jail. Scott,
\nthe sheriff, arrested some of adults and children and put them in the
\njail. We had jail free passes for someone to pay $1 per person to get
\nsomeone out of the jail. We earned pretty good money for jail passes.
\nWe received some wonderful comments that we had the best decorations.
\nScott, Charles and Lynn Randolph made the Wanted Poster. Scott and
\nCharles Randolph also made the terrific jail. You will see them in
\nour gallery under the theme \u0018Wanted: Dead or Alive\u0019. We had 2 judges
\nchoose the winners for the Best Western Costumes. Third place winner
\nwas Deborah Young, who received La Colinas Restaurant gift
\ncertificate; Second place winner was Scott Randolph, who received a
\n$25 Dillard\u0019s gift certificate; and First place winner was Dan
\nCunningham, who received a complimentary one-night stay to include a
\nstandard guest room and continental breakfast at Holiday Inn Express.
\nMe\u0019chelle William was chosen to be the best costume for the children
\nand received $20 Toy R Us Gift Certificate. Congratulations to the
\nwinners. We thank the judges for doing the voting on the best
\ncostumes. We had more people attend this event than last month. WOW!
\nWe are very pleased about that. <\/p>\n
We want to thank Shelia Bills and Lynn Randolph for shopping to buy
\nwestern decorations and getting more gift certificates. They worked
\nvery hard and deserved the compliments or applauses. <\/p>\n
Just friendly reminders: the meeting will be held in the Denison room
\nat the Stone Bridge Hotel in Sherman on September 7th at 7 p.m. We
\nwill provide a free beverage, and everyone is asked to bring a food
\ndish to share for the potluck during the meeting. Please mark it on
\nyour calendar for September. <\/p>\n
We will be hosting a Social Night Game Night on September 8th at 7
\np.m. at the Stone Bridge Hotel in Sherman. We will be playing games
\nand the bar should be open to sell beer and wine next month. People
\nof any age are welcome with their families to a Social Night. If a
\nperson wins, the money will be split in half, one-half goes to the
\nwinner and one-half goes to TCD fund. We will sell the raffle tickets
\nfor $5.00 for the door prizes and the door prizes will be surprised at
\nthe Social Night. Please check our Game Night flyer on our website,
\nwww.texomadeafclub.org and mark it on your calendar. Hope you can
\ncome and have fun playing. Please bring extra money to play games. <\/p>\n
TCD received a lot of donated beverages from Sam\u0019s Club. We thank and
\nappreciate Sam\u0019s Club for the donation. <\/p>\n
TCD received a phone from Morton and Iris Goldstein. We want to thank
\nand appreciate them for donating it to us. Thanks, Morton and Iris
\nGoldstein. <\/p>\n
We are working on applying for a grant for our future office. We hope
\nthat our grant will be approved. We are still working on getting more
\ndonations for our needs. <\/p>\n
We would like to inform you that we have the voucher ready for you if
\nyou need assistance such as a pager, any special devices and phones.

We hope to find interpreters for our deaf people\u0019s needs for any
\nservices in our Fannin, Cooke, and Grayson counties. If you know any
\ninterpreters in our counties, please contact Scott Randolph. <\/p>\n

\n so we can send you information including our TCD Newsletters, events
\nand social night around Sherman\/Denison in Texas. Or you can check out

\nevents. Member fees are $10 per year for Single and $15 per year for

\nevent to sign up to become a TCD member. <\/p>\n
We are looking for volunteers to become the Board of Trustees for our
\nTCD. If anyone is interested in these positions, please email Scott,
\nthe president at president@texomadeafclub.org.
\nWe are looking for 2 of Board of Trustees who is willing and
\nmotivated to fill these positions. <\/p>\n
TCD is a non-profit organization with Section 501 (c) (3) and we do
\nhave a fund if you wish to send money order and\/or a check to us.
\nPlease make sure to note that it is specifically for the fund on your
\ncheck\/money order. <\/p>\n
