Family Weekend Retreat host by ERCOD – June 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s that time again… Time to mark your calendars for Family Weekend Retreat (FWR)! Registration opens early March.<\/p>\n

Texas Hands & Voices is proud to support ERCOD by being a co-sponsor for this year’s retreat in Austin. Join us, TSBVI and ERCOD for a great weekend! Share these dates and links with family and friends.<\/p>\n

FAMILY WEEKEND RETREAT JUNE 14-16th, 2013<\/p>\n

For Texas families with children who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or deaf with other disabilities, birth through 21 years old. All family members welcome!<\/p>\n

As the parent of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing how do we know when and how to effectively take the lead and \u201d STAND OUT\u201d in regards to our child\u2019s education and social\/emotional development and when should we \u201c BLEND IN\u201d and teach our children to take the lead? Join us and learn from other parents, professionals and deaf and hard of hearing adults.<\/p>\n

Registration opens in early March, 2013. Go to http:\/\/www.texasdhhresources.org\/FWR<\/a> to learn more and to find the link to register on-line. Early bird registration ends on May 15, 2013 reserve your spot today.<\/p>\n

FWR is growing! We listened to your comments and added more workshop topics for parents \u2013more sessions related to hard of hearing and mainstreamed students will be included, as well as topics related to children with multiple disabilities. More time for parents to informally network with each other has also been added to the agenda.<\/p>\n

Come learn about Communication Opportunities, Transition Services, Literacy, Technology, Special Ed Law, IEP\/ARD information, Cochlear Implants, Sign Language, Deaf Culture, Early Childhood Intervention Services and more!<\/p>\n

ONLY $75 for a family of four – includes all meals, lodging, workshops and children’s activities!<\/p>\n

$10 for each additional family member.
\n$25 late fee applies after May 15, 2013<\/p>\n
