Focus on Interpreting workshop<\/p>\n

A workshop to discuss and practice making message-equivalent interpretations.<\/p>\n

Date: March 16, 2013 – Saturday
\nTime: 9:00 A.M. \u2013 3:00 P.M.<\/p>\n

Join Mike in some text analysis activities where we will listen for meaning and intent in order to produce a true interpretation that is culturally and semantically appropriate.<\/p>\n

We will discuss linguistic meaning in words and phrases in ASL and English and examine how various constructions satisfy the interpretation goals and strategies to increase message equivalency.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss this enlightening forum.<\/p>\n

This workshop will be presented for beginning singers, ASL\/ITP students and pre-certified \u201cbecoming\u201d interpreters (certified interpreters also welcome). No BEI or RID CEUs will be offered but ITP activity forms will be honored.<\/p>\n
