JOB DESCRIPTION<\/p>\n

POSITION: ATTENDANT (4 positions available)<\/p>\n

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with all activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, meals (including feeding), toileting assistance, transfers, linen changes, incontinent care, housekeeping, laundry, serving meals, bussing tables, cleaning and any other tasks deemed necessary to assure quality of care to residents and to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. The Attendant works under the direction and supervision of the assigned supervisor.<\/p>\n

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n

EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED Required<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE: Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide Preferred; OR a minimum of 6 months experience working with the elderly or disabled. SKILLS: Sign Language communication skills; Aptitude for working with elderly and disabled; Must know how to read and write in English; Ability to follow directions of his\/her supervisor.<\/p>\n

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in various conditions with possible exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases. Works a flexible schedule based on needs of the facility.<\/p>\n

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT: Prolonged standing and walking required 90-100% of the time throughout the shift. Requires the ability to identify residents needs to ensure the safety and wellness of the resident.<\/p>\n

SALARY: DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE.<\/p>\n

FIRST SHIFT (6 AM & 2 PM) (1 Position Available) AND SECOND SHIFT (2 PM & 10 PM) (1 Position Available)<\/strong>
\n* Distribution of Medications in a timely manner
\n* Assist with bath, dressing, grooming (as assigned on DAF)
\n* Assist to and from toilet (when needed)
\n* Assist with transfers from bed to chair, chair to bed, etc.
\n* Check for incontinence episodes; making changes for those residents regularly DO NOT LEAVE RESIDENT WET!
\n* Take soiled with urine\/feces linen and clothing to Laundry immediately
\n* Make beds
\n* Wash and change linens every week (as assigned on DAF)
\n* Assist to and from the dining room
\n* Serve meals and Bussing tables
\n* Laundry: washed, dried, folded and return to correct apartment (as assigned on DAF)
\n* Check apartments for out of ordinary: odors, A\/C, water drips, Toilet, clutter, floors, etc.
\n* Report all call-lights
\n* Complete Daily Assignment Form (DAF) and turn it in to your Supervisor in-box.<\/p>\n

THIRD SHIFT (10 PM & 6 AM) 2 Positions Available<\/strong>
\n* Check for incontinence episodes; making changes for those residents regularly DO NOT LEAVE RESIDENT WET!
\n* Take soiled with urine\/feces linen and clothing to Laundry immediately
\n* Laundry: washed, dried, folded and return to correct apartment (as assigned on DAF)
\n* Report all call-lights
\n* Wash and change linens
\n* Check Laundry rooms for cleanliness
\n* Check janitorial closets for cleanliness
\n* Gather trashes
\n* Set up next day meds
\n* Set up 8 am meds for First Shift Attendant
\n* Clean floor stairwells and hallway
\n* Complete & Daily Assignment Form (DAF) and turn it in to your Supervisor in-box.<\/p>\n
