The 30-minute program will feature several former student-athletes who are making a difference. The show is slated to air on CBS on Saturday, April 6, at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Please check your local listings for correct station and time. A CBS Sports production team visited Kendall Green on February 20 and had the chance to interview Coach Pride, several student-athletes and Athletic Director Michael Weinstock for the feature. The crew also shadowed the team during practice.

Coach Pride was interviewed about his life story of becoming the first deaf Major League Baseball player in the modern era and how he ended up coaching at Gallaudet. He was also interviewed about his involvement in President Obama’s President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition that he has been a member of since June 2010.

About The Human Highlight Reel

It started with a simple idea: find stories that inspire us and share them with the world. From a former star player making a difference for three million kids around the world to a swimmer who turns his NCAA success into a chance to changes lives – every cause, every person, and every contribution is testament to the power of human achievement. By offering our support to further these causes and ideas, Buick and the NCAA are celebrating the next generation of achievers. Buick is an official corporate partner of the NCAA.
