DTEACh\u2019s cutting-edge training program introduces K-12 educators to engineering design using LEGO\u00ae MINDSTORMS\u00ae technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, in our second year at TSD, Stropko says, students are ready to show off their [Robotics] skills and compete among others across Texas. This is really exciting for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The TSD \u2018Deaf YLasterbots\u2019 team &#8211; robotics students, Sophomore-Scott Bartlett (from San Antonio), Freshmen-Reno Jannett (from Austin), Braden Hamaker (Georgetown), and Lee McDuffie (Killeen), qualified for the state finals after winning first place at the regional level in January. It was the team\u2019s very first time to compete.<\/p>\n<p>Stropko, couldn\u2019t be more proud of the students\u2019 accomplishments. \u201cThey did a phenomenal job, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWinning first place at the regional level, where they competed for the first time ever, I am so proud they made it to the top.
