Mrs. Stamm was a resident of Kaufman, Texas.

On April 9, 2013 Lorraine Wrenn Stamm awoke in heaven where she was surely greeted by a host of family and friends whom she had been longing to see. Lorraine was born in the Abner Community of Kaufman County on January 30, 1911 and later moved with her family to Terrell. During the 1960s Lorraine and daughter, Sara moved to Dallas where she worked for J.C. Penney. In 1968, Lorraine married a kind and caring gentlemen, Edward Stamm, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage before his death in 1990. Lorraine had recently enjoyed celebrating her one-hundred and second birthday with friends and relatives. She was a resident at the Kaufman Healthcare Center.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents David Elmer and Anice Lenora Wrenn, brothers “Rusty” and James Wrenn, sister Marguerite Cooley, and her husband Ed Stamm. She is survived by her daughter Sara Havens, nieces Deanne Murrey and husband Paul David, Kay Sisson and husband Donovan, and nephews Spikes Cooley and wife Missie, Michael Wrenn and wife Susan, Ted Wrenn and wife Patti, and Tim Wrenn and wife Linda. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Carrie and Kirk Truss, and two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Rebecca Depper.

Lorraine was a dear soul, kind and caring, with a positive attitude and a love of life. Her laugh, her gentle smile, her love for others and her zest for living will be missed by all who knew her. Her celebration of life will be held at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kaufman, TX on April 13, 2013. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm and the service will begin at 2:00pm. The family would like to thank Lorraine’s continuous care nurses Happy and Stephen, the staff of the Kaufman Healthcare Center, and a special thanks to Tamara, Adela, Claudia, Gary, and Donald of Hospice Plus for their loving care.

SERVICES

VISITATION

Saturday, April 13
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Anderson-Clayton Bros.
