TerpLearn<\/span><\/a> is offering a unique continuing education opportunity: “Medical Ethics Online Discussion Group” for Interpreters. This online discussion group discusses the ethics of medical interpreting in a variety of settings and the impact of making such decisions on healthcare<\/span> outcomes. Different models of interpreting will be discussed. The dates for the online group are May 13 – 31, 2013. This discussion group offers 0.3 Professional Studies CEUS and 0.3 Professional Studies in Ethics for TX BEI (BEI Activity Number 2013216E.3) This cost of this opportunity is $35.<\/p>\n

The online group will meet for 3 weeks, and has no requirement that you log on at any specific time, just that you log on a minimum of 3 times during the three week period (preferably at least once per week) and provide at least 3 substantive posts to the questions being posed about medical ethics and conundrums that we as interpreters, schedulers and managers face. Again, this endeavor is completely on your time table<\/span>, so if you’re looking for something to do while pulling those all-nighters or have a few minutes during the day that you’d like to dialogue with your colleagues about some of the things that come up in our everyday practice, this is the group for you! The dates for the online group are May 13 – 31, 2013.<\/p>\n
