“Theatre in the Sky,” a performance by Bernard Bragg on September 28, 2007 was a smash success. Thanks to Gallaudet University and three other local sponsors for arranging it. It was part of a road tour to raise funds for the National Association of the Deaf and the World Federation of the Deaf. Many old timers remember the day when Bragg gave his first show on the same stage of the newly opened Elstad Auditorium years ago. His life story in acting has brought tears to some former deaf actors, especially when he acknowledged his hero, the late Boyce R. Williams who was responsible for what the deaf theatre is today. Who is Boyce? Who was behind him? ASK A LIBRARIAN. <\/p>\n
