A MESSAGE FROM THE DAD PRESIDENT: <\/p>\n

October 3, 2007 <\/p>\n

Hello Members and Friends of DAD; <\/p>\n

First of all I want to remind DAD Members of our Special Meeting on Friday, October 5 at 6:00pm. We will only be discussing one issue, which should not last more than two hours. <\/p>\n

Please allow me to share with you, briefly, about DAD’s events last month: <\/p>\n

DAD had a great number of attendances during the Social Security Administration presentation!
\nDAD will schedule another session in the spring to explain about Medicare. There were many Q&As that helped the audience understand the SSI\/SSDI\/SS better.
\nThe DAD Honorary Awards evening turned out to be an awesome evening. I believe everyone who came that evening enjoyed themselves. I want thank Herb Picou, chairperson, and his committee for planning this great event, Herb’s daughter, Liz, for taking so many wonderful pictures and Kathy Walters from CSDVRS for sponsoring the master of ceremonies as well as the interpreters. \nThe third DAD\/DFWA co-sponsored ‘job -related workshop’ was presented by Tashee Gates from DARS. She gave a wonderful presentation, explaining how to use interpreter(s) during job interviews. The participants enjoyed their morning with Mrs. Gates.
\nand here we are in the month of October! And that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s when we usually know the holidays are approaching really fast; especially when we start to be too busy doing our shopping, attending holiday parties and\/or being involved with our children’s school programs.
