If you are receiving this invitation it is because you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve told us you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re interested in supporting families like yours. <\/p>\n<p>You know that the help you have to offer is valuable and unique.<br \/>\nYou understand the difference parent-to-parent support can make. <\/p>\n<p>Please join us for<br \/>\nTXP2P Supporting Parent Volunteer Training:<br \/>\nSaturday, October 13, 2007<br \/>\n9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children<br \/>\n4th Floor Auxiliary Lounge \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Meeting Room<br \/>\n2222 Welborn Street<br \/>\nDallas, Texas 75219 <\/p>\n<p>The training prepares you to provide information and emotional support to another parent new to a diagnosis or new to an issue involving their child. <\/p>\n<p>We will discuss: The stages of grief that most parents experience Listening and communication skills Local, state and national resources Care for the caregiver <\/p>\n<p>You will also learn what TxP2P expects of their volunteers. Then you will tell us how you want to help. Because we need your help! We have a lot of parents that have requested a Supporting Parent match and need more trained volunteers. <\/p>\n<p>We hope you can join us on the 13th <\/p>\n<p>If you can, please answer the following questions: <\/p>\n<p>Do you need childcare? If so, how many kids will you bring? Please tell me their names, ages, dietary needs, and any special accommodations we need to let the child care workers know about. <\/p>\n<p>Texas Parent to Parent is always looking for caring and capable adults to provide child care during our trainings.
