TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (TSDAA) JOINS CLEARBLUE
\nAFFILATE VRS OUTREACH PARTNERSHIP WITH CSDVRS, LLC <\/p>\n
With the implementation of Texan Video Relay Services (TEXANVRS),
\nTSDAA is taking the lead in reaching out to the deaf and hard of
\nhearing community in Texas. <\/p>\n
AUSTIN, TX – Nov. 1 2007 – Texas School for the Deaf Alumni
\nAssociation (TSDAA) is pleased to announce the implementation of the
\nTexan Video Relay Service (TEXANVRS). This is a tremendous
\nopportunity for TSDAA as they form an affiliate outreach partnership
\nwith CSDVRS, LLC. TEXANVRS joins more than 25 CSDVRS ClearBlue
\nOutreach Affiliates across the United States. CSDVRS introduced the
\nClearBlue Outreach Affiliate Program after many months of research
\nand testing. Today, ClearBlue provides unmatched support for
\naffiliates who want to offer a video relay service to their members
\nand communities. The goal of ClearBlue is to provide a new level of
\noutreach services to contact deaf and hard of hearing people and
\neducate them on the availability of video relay. For more information

TEXANVRS will become a driving force in empowering deaf and hard of
\nhearing alumni of Texas School for the Deaf to focus on increased
\nawareness, accessibility and ensured civil rights in the State of
\nTexas and across the country “TSDAA has a mission to provide a
\nvariety of services to the deaf and hard of hearing community in
\nTexas and in the United States. TEXANVRS is a perfect addition to
\ntheir mission,” said Chris Wagner, Vice President of Marketing
\nCommunications for CSDVRS. “In addition, CSDVRS is committed to
\noutreach and educating the market and we believe that TSDAA
\nvigorously supports that commitment.” <\/p>\n

About TSDAA’s Mission <\/p>\n
This organization was founded in 1979. As a 501(c) 3 organization,
\nTSDAA represents the alumni of the Texas School for the Deaf, which
\nwas founded in 1856, in Austin, Texas. The TSDAA mission is to
\nconnect members to each other and to the past, present and future of
\nthe Texas School for the Deaf and to motivate alumni participation
\nand provide the opportunity to maintain a continuous relationship
\nwith the school, its alumni and the community. In addition, TSDAA
\nwill: <\/p>\n
1. Keep all alumni connected to TSD through communication and
\ninvolvement. <\/p>\n
2. Enhance the student experience through scholarships and
\ninvolvement. <\/p>\n
3. Recognize contributions and achievements of alumni, faculty, and
\nstaff through the TSDAA Hall of Fame. <\/p>\n
4. Preserve and enrich the history, culture, and traditions of TSD. <\/p>\n
5. Maintain the Heritage Center and archives for all alumni, faculty,
\nstaff, students, scholars, and the Texas community. <\/p>\n
6. Promote pride in our “Home Away From Home,” Texas School for the
\nDeaf, <\/p>\n
About CSDVRS <\/p>\n
CSDVRS, a rapidly growing provider of video relay services, launched
\nits inaugural service to the nation in 2000. By 2001, CSDVRS was the
\nnation’s only 24\/7 provider, and was also the first to offer Spanish
\nVRS, video mail and Personal 800 Numbers. CSDVRS was developed by and
\nfor deaf and hard of hearing individuals based on feedback from the
\nnation’s deaf and hard of hearing community. We knew that this
\ncommunity had a right to a functionally equivalent way to communicate
