Rogers 2012-2013 HAABE (Houston Area Association for Bilingual Education) Teacher of the Year award in April 2013. &nbsp; She has been teaching Deaf bilingual children at T.H. Rogers in Houston Independent School District for 12 years. &nbsp;She is a graduate of Gallaudet University and Western Maryland College. She earned her Doctorate in Deaf Education\/Deaf Studies at Lamar University. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tShe resides in Richmond, Texas with her husband, James Baldwin.
