\n\tThe Texas Hands & Voices Guide By Your Side (GBYS) program has part time position openings for the following: one (1) D\/HH Guide in the Houston metro area<\/strong>, one (1) Parent Guide in the South Houston are<\/strong>a and one (1) Parent Guide in the Dallas\/Fort Worth metro area<\/strong>. 
\n\t 
\n\tA Parent Guide must be a parent\/guardian of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing. A D\/HH Guide must be an adult who is d\/Deaf or hard of hearing. The Guides will undergo specialized ongoing training in order to provide support to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing including a mandatory 2 day training held in Austin in November 2013<\/strong>.

\n\tGuide By Your Side (GBYS) is a program of Texas Hands & Voices that provides support for parents of children who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf\/blind, or deaf with additional disabilities. The goal of the program is to provide parents – with d\/hh children ages birth to twenty-one – the opportunity to establish a supportive relationship with a trained and experienced fellow parent and\/or a d\/Deaf or hard of hearing adult.
