\n\tLocation: Austin, Texas\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) Program Specialist is hired by, is accountable and reports to the DARS – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Director, and performs advanced (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing the STAP voucher exchange and vendor reimbursement services and providing consultative services and technical assistance to consumers, vendors, program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public regarding the exchange of vouchers. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tDuties include: Implementing effective techniques for STAP voucher exchanges including vendor payments, and consumer inquiries; establishing goals and objectives; providing consultative services and technical assistance to plan, implementing, monitoring, and serving as contract manager for voucher exchange services and voucher exchange assistance to consumers; providing guidance to consumers and vendors in the development and integration of new methods and procedures; determining trends and resolving operational problems. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tWorks under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May train others. Performs other duties as assigned
