\n\tEmployAbility – Dallas Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities The mission of EmployAbility (formerly known as the Dallas Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities) is to engage the business community to build a diverse workforce by valuing people with different abilities.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEmployAbility 2013<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe goal of EmployAbility 2013 is to provide job seekers with the necessary tools so that they can become successfully employed and help them gain information about the hiring processes of local businesses. Job seekers will have the opportunity to visit with hiring personnel from 45 companies, have their resumes critiqued, participate in a practice interview, and attend sessions on finding the right job and on-line application tips.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tVolunteer Needs<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe especially need volunteer sign language interpreters. Volunteers are needed from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Volunteer sessions are: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.; 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; and 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Although it is helpful if volunteers can volunteer the entire time, volunteers can volunteer for 1, 2 or all 3 sessions.
