TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF RANGERS BOUND FOR PLAY-OFFS <\/p>\n
Austin, Texas – November 16, 2007 – The Texas School for the Deaf’s
\n(TSD) football team hits the road to Beaumont today for a first round
\nmatch-up in the post-season against Beaumont Legacy Christian Academy.
\nThe game kicks-off at 7:00 p.m., at Babe Zaharias Stadium, 2445
\nConcord Road, in Beaumont. TSD is holding a special pep rally at the
\nschool in South Austin today at 9:15 a.m. before sending the team off
\nwith hometown support. <\/p>\n
TSD meets the Legacy Christian Warriors (5-5) in the TAPPS Division
\nIII play-offs. With ten starters returning from last year, the TSD
\nRangers finished the regular season 9-2, taking third place in
\nDivision III, District 3. The Warriors are celebrating their best
\nseason finish to date, capturing second place in their division. TSD
\nHead Coach, Matt Thompson, says, “being in the playoffs means a lot
\nto our players, our school and to our loyal fans.” We are very
\nexcited, and still hungry for more games to play. <\/p>\n
