\n\tHello! The University of Texas (UT) Signed Language Laboratory is conducting a study about American Sign Language (ASL). Dr. Richard Meier, a hearing professor in linguistics, and Ms. Lynn Hou, a Deaf doctoral student in linguistics, are doing a study about ASL verbs. We are currently looking for Deaf native and native-like adult signers of ASL who can participate in the study. You must have acquired ASL at birth or by the age of 3.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf you are interested in participating in the study, please fill out the attached questionnaire (Please contact us and get a copy of Word and PDF) and e-mail it to Lynn Hou at lyshou@utexas.edu. If you cannot fill out the questionnaire for some reason, please provide us the following information as indicated by the questionnaire in the e-mail. We will let you know if you are eligible to participate in the study.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe study can take place either in the UT Signed Language lab in the Linguistics Department or Austin Community College. You will be videotaped and you will be paid $20 for your time. The study should not take more than 30 minutes.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis study has IRB approval from UT Austin (the study number is 2013-09-0102).\n<\/p>\n
