Tarrant County College’s Drama Department production of “The Sheep
\nTheif” will be interpreted for the public at the Friday matinee
\nperformance. <\/p>\n
“The Sheep Thief,” adapted from “The Second Shepherd’s Play” by Ford
\nAinsworth, follows the exploits of Mak, a petty thief trying to
\noutwit three shepherds on the evening of the first Christmas. The
\noutrageous comedy of the shepherd scenes strengthens the beauty of
\nthe Manger episode. Broad physical humor, a comical plot, interesting
\ncharacters and the historical importance of the play make this
\nmodernization of the medieval “Second Shepherd’s Play” a great
\nevening of theatre for children and parents alike. <\/p>\n
“The Sheep Thief” opens November 28th. Wednesday through Saturday
\nevening performances will be at 7 p.m. and matinee performances
\nFriday and Saturday will be at 2 p.m. The evening of Thursday,
\nNovember 29th will be a private performance for the TCC Arlington
\nLife Shelter Dinner. There will also be several morning matinee
\nperformances for local elementary schools. <\/p>\n
General admission is $6. Admission is $3 for patrons under 18 or over
\n50, and as always, students, staff and faculty admission is free.
