\n\tIn December 2013, NCTCOG 9-1-1 activated 6 more PSAPs to Text to 9-1-1.  The current total is 17 PSAPs in Texas, all within the NCTCOG 9-1-1 region.

\n\tThis service is currently available to Verizon Wireless customers only, allowing contact to be made to 9-1-1 via a text message, when a voice call can not be made.
\n\t 
\n\tNCTCOG welcomes Stephenville Police Department, Erath County Sheriff's Office, Hood County Sheriff's Office, Somervell County Sheriff's Office, Parker County Sheriff's Office and Weatherford Police Department to being able to accept Text to 9-1-1 messages.
