Hiring Range: Starting salary commensurate with educational

Position Status: Full-time <\/p>\n
Position Summary: Cy-Fair College is currently seeking applications
\nfor faculty and staff who share our commitment to performing and
\nsupporting academic excellence, exceptional service and a dynamic
\nclimate for lifelong learning. Individuals with an interest and\/or
\nexperience in quality service to students and the community, a
\ncollaborative work environment that will focus on cross training and
\nshared assignments, interdisciplinary teaching, learning communities,
\naccountability and effectiveness of student learning, and the
\neffective use of technology are encouraged to consider joining the
\nstaff and faculty of Cy-Fair College. <\/p>\n
Required Qualifications\/Education Campus Specific: Associate’s degree
\nin interpreting, deaf education, deaf studies, American Sign Language
\nand\/or related area. <\/p>\n
Texas DARS-BEI Certification, Level III or RID CI and CT
\ncertification required. <\/p>\n
Three years work experience in related field. <\/p>\n
At least one year of relevant teaching experience. <\/p>\n
Experience using innovative strategies and technology in the
\nclassroom. <\/p>\n
Distance education certification or a commitment to obtain
\ncertification through NHMCCD (or equivalent) within 12 months of
\nemployment. <\/p>\n
Demonstrated interest and\/or experience with interdisciplinary
\nteaching, service learning, learning technologies, course
\ndevelopment, and adult learning methodologies including collaborative
\nlearning, learning communities and distance learning. <\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications\/Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
\ninterpreting, deaf education, deaf studies, American Sign Language,
\nand\/or related area. Texas DARS-BEI Level IV certification. Community
\ncollege experience. Bi-lingual. <\/p>\n
