Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Thompson&#8217;s Harveson &amp; Cole<br \/>\nFuneral Home.<\/p>\n<p> Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to the Goodrich<br \/>\nCenter for the Deaf, 2500 Lipscomb, Fort Worth, Texas 76110. <\/p>\n<p> Bernadette was born April 15, 1926, in Stirling, Alberta, Canada, to<br \/>\nJohn and Althea Darr McLean. She graduated from Leighbridge Collegiate<br \/>\nInstitute and later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.<br \/>\nDuring her lifetime, she taught at public schools and special schools<br \/>\nin Yorktown, Waco, Texas City and, for last 16 years, Fort Worth.<br \/>\nLastly, she taught at Trimble Tech, retiring in 1987. <\/p>\n<p> Bernadette was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was also<br \/>\na former member of Broadway Baptist Church and an active member of<br \/>\nOakhill Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Reuben P. Allen Jr.<\/p>\n<p> Survivors: Sons, Reuben P.
