Advocacy Strategies for Achiveing Effective Communication<\/p>\n

Hello Community Partners and Friends, <\/p>\n

Please share this brochure to all persons who may be interested in
\nbecoming more skilled at obtaining appropriate services or
\naccommodations for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. <\/p>\n

The target audience includes, Directors and\/or Interpreter
\ncoordination staff of independent living and deaf and hard of hearing
\ncenters, job development\/job placement staff, Vocational
\nRehabilitation Counselors serving persons who are deaf\/hard of
\nhearing, and individuals who are hearing, deaf or hard of hearing who
\nwant to become effective advocates. <\/p>\n

This 2 day training will be in 4 different cities between February
\nand April 2008. There is prerequisite work required for attendance
\nthat is outlined in the attached brochure. Attendance will be limited
\nto 30 individuals per location on a first come first serve basis. The
\ntraining is free. Let me know if you have questions… <\/p>\n
