Father Guy Blair, former priest of the Deaf congregation of San
\nFrancesco di Paola in San Antonio, received an award for his work

My aunt was the volunteer parish secretary of the parish of St.
\nJohn’s when he arrived there. She said he really got a Deaf
\ncongregation started quickly. He’s well-known for comforting persons
\nwho are ill in the hospital. Fr. Guy received some local media
\nattention as a ‘David vs. Goliath’ fighting the city government to
\nshelter the homeless in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church after
\nthe local homeless shelter was closed after operating only 2 years.
