Workshop Description: Participants will discuss ethical decision making via case studies in a confidential and supportive environment. Case studies will be discussed using the Demand Control Schema (DC-S) theory in which participants work through the demands, controls, and consequences of the interpreter’s actions within the given situation. Application to<\/span> the Code of Professional Conduct and stakeholder identification will also be addressed. An overview of DC-S will be provided.<\/p>\n

The workshop is free for NCTID members.<\/p>\n

$15 for non-members\/working interpreters
\n$5 students\/non-certified\/deaf community members (includes membership to NCTID)<\/p>\n

Make checks payable to: NCTID payable in advance or at the door. See mailing address above if pre-registering.<\/p>\n

Mail in registrations accepted until May 23, 2014 after that pay at the door only.<\/p>\n

The workshop is 3hrs NCTID will be having their general meeting during that timeframe. CEUs are not available for the NCTID meeting.<\/p>\n

Meeting and workshop is open to all deaf and hearing interpreters, interpreting students, and the deaf community.<\/p>\n
