March 28, 1959 – April 28, 2014<\/p>\n

A Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Meyer, age 55, of San Antonio, Texas, will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Rajesh Mankena and Rev. James Mickus, celebrants. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family present will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> the funeral home.<\/p>\n

Steven was born to Frank and Barbara (Brown) Meyer on March 28, 1959, in Sidney, Nebraska, and passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas.<\/p>\n

Steven attended Jane Brooks for the Deaf in Chickasha, and graduated from Chisholm High School in 1979. He then attended Northwestern in Alva, O.U., and then graduated with a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling the Deaf, from Gallaudet University, Washington D.C. in<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> 1994.<\/p>\n

Steven was currently working at DHS in San Antonio, and was teaching at University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio. He was in the process of working towards his second Masters at the University of North Texas, Denton. He loved what he was doing and the people he worked with were like family.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his mother Barbara<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> of Enid; sisters Kimberle Beckett and husband Richard of Lawton, and Susie Cunningham and husband Bill of Enid; nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

Steven was preceded in death by his father on June 1, 2012.<\/p>\n
