Two jailed for robbing deaf man walking to work<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two men are behind bars after they allegedly beat up and robbed a deaf-mute man walking to work in Brownsville.<\/p>\n

Brownsville police arrested 27-year-old Johnny Joe Rojano and 19-year-old Eduardo Felipe Olmos on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Investigators told Action 4 News that it all happened on the 1100 block of West Washington Street.<\/p>\n

Rojano<\/span><\/span> and Olmos allegedly approached a deaf-mute man walking to work, beat him up and took $50 dollars from his wallet.<\/p>\n

The deaf-mute man could not cry for help but returned home with cuts on his face and used sign language to tell his family what happened.<\/p>\n

A motive for the robbery is not clear but police found Rojano and Olmos nearby and arrested both of them on aggravated robbery charges.<\/p>\n

Both men appeared before a Brownsville Municipal Court judge on Thursday morning where they were each issued $75,000 bonds.<\/p>\n
